Male & Female Dogs:
We only accept neutered males and spayed females(age according) and under no circumstance can we accept a female in season.

Puppies:
We accept puppies from the age of six months.  All puppies must be fully house trained.  Under some circumstances we can accept younger dogs, but this is a case by case agreement.

Vaccines, Flea & Worming & Microchipping:
All dogs must have up to date vaccinations(boosters) including flea & worming treatments and the kennel cough vaccine.  We will request to see the vaccination record upon initial meeting. All dogs must be microchipped before any services can be undertaken.

Dangerous Dog Act, Aggression, Noise Pollution(Barking), Separation Anxiety
We do not walk or board dogs/breeds that are listed on the dangerous dog act or behave in an aggressive way. If your dog(s) show any aggressive behaviour towards the carer, family member or another dog, or should its behaviour become unacceptable, the client agrees that their dog will be placed with either the emergency contact or in a kennel and this will be payable on their return.
We require to know of any barking/howling habits that your dog may have prior to services being taken. We do not accept dogs who suffer with separation anxiety.

Dog Walking & Group Walks:
Owners are required to provide a well fitting collar and identification tag with their details. Please ensure you provide a spare towel at home to dry dogs with. We always try to remove as much mud from your dog as possible. Although we do our best to minimise muddy paws we cannot be held responsible for any damage to your property or furnishings after they have been dropped home. If you have pre paid for washing after a walk, we will shampoo and dry your dog and return it to you clean. We only use professional, dog friendly products. We provide the dogs with water after their walks, we also ask owners to leave plenty of fresh water out for their dog. It is advisable you do not feed your dog one hour before or after walks to prevent stomach issues.

All dogs that are new to us will stay on a lead or long line for a few walks so we can test for recall and behaviour before allowing them to be completely free. If we feel their recall is not safe then we will keep them on the lead.
If you wish for your dog to be off the lead you will be required to sign a disclaimer form.

We reserve the right to terminate a walk early in the case of extreme weather such as heat, cold or extreme wind, rain or snow.

Boarding and Day Care:
We aim to look after your dog in a home from home style environment. Your agreement with Barker’s Dogs is conditional upon a mutually satisfactory meet and greet and then a trial day or overnight.
Every dog is required to arrive to us with a well fitted collar or harness with an up to date id tag.
We require the correct amount of food to be provided for the stay, if insufficient food is not supplied, you agree to refund us for the costs incurred in purchasing additional food. Please include any medication with clear, concise instructions of use/dosage. We provide food bowls, water bowls, beds and toys. You undertake to deliver your dog in a clean and groomed condition.

Drop Off/Pick Up Times:
Daycare hours are between 8am and 5pm.
Drop off and pick up times will be agreed between the dog carer and client, please arrive on time.  We try to avoid cross overs.  If you are running early or late please text or call us so we can adjust accordingly.  Please do not assume it is acceptable just to show up as we work on a tight schedule to ensure every dog has a smooth and stress-free experience.

Dogs who are boarding with us are asked to check out by 10am on their final morning.  If you need to collect your dog after 10am an additional daycare rate will be charged as it is a space that we would not be able to fill for that day.
