“WE” “US” “OUR” Refer to Barker’s Boarding

“You” “Owner” “Owners” “Customer” Refer to you the Customer or service taker.

Males & Female Dogs:
We only take neutered males and also prefer, if possible, that females are also spayed. Under some circumstances we may accept full males, but this would need to be on a case by case basis and by age and temperament of the dog. We will require to see the dog and assess any aggression, urinating traits or any other behaviour issues in our home before considering a booking. We will not accept bitches in season.

Vaccines, Boosters, Worming & Microchipping:
ALL dogs must have up to date vaccinations(Boosters) including flea & worming treatments. We may request for you to provide a vet card with this info. ALL dogs must be microchipped before any services can be undertaken.

Dangerous Dog Act, Aggression, Noise Pollution(Barking / Howling)
We do not walk, board or groom dogs/breeds that are listed on the dangerous dog act or behave in an aggressive way to any of our staff, family members or other dogs in our care. We work closely with behaviour specialists which can help alleviate certain issues making it possible for your dog(s) to board with us at future times once the behaviour issues have been rectified. The owner would be responsible to pay for such treatment prior to any services undertaken with us.
We require to know of any constant barking / howling  habits that your dog may have, prior to services being taken, we can then assess the situation on a case by case basis and make a clear decision whether your dog would be suitable to board or have day care with us as and not frighten other dogs or annoy neighbours.

Dog Walking & Group Walks:
Owners are required to provide a suitable and well fitted harness, lead, collar and if required  coat. Keys will be required for us to enter and collect your dog/s. We are happy to keep the key until you request it back or are no longer needed. For your dog’s safety we will provide a tag with Barker’s Boarding on it. This is put on your dog before we leave your house and removed again once your dog is back in the safety of your own home.
We will remove your dogs waste from public places when out with us.

Please ensure you provide a spare towel at home to dry dogs with. We always try to remove as much mud from your dog after the walk as possible in some situations we might need extra towels to minimise the risk of mess to your home. Although we do our best to minimise muddy paws we cannot be held responsible for any damage to your property or furnishings.

We provide the dogs with water during and after their walks we also ask owners to leave plenty of fresh water out for their dog/s. If you require us to feed your dog after the walk then please make the food readily available. We would prefer not to feed 1 hr before or after walks to prevent stomach issues.

If you have pre paid for washing after a walk, we will shampoo and dry your dog and return it to you clean. We only use professional dog friendly shampoo.

All dogs that are new to us will stay on a lead or long lead for a couple of walks so we can test for recall and behaviour before allowing them to be completely free.
If you then wish for your dog to be off the lead you will be required to sign a disclaimer form which can be signed when filling in the general information form provided by us.

We reserve the right to terminate a walk early in the case of extreme weather. Heat, cold or extreme wind/rain.
